C24 and partners complete the roll out of the wireless network for a new German Shopping Village
Birmingham (October 2012) - C24 have recently completed the contract to supply, install and manage the wireless network across a new designer shopping village in Germany. The site which currently comprises 100 stores over 26,000 sq m of leasable space is one of the largest in Germany and is expected to receive many millions of visitors a year.
C24 and their partner e-source, have worked with Europe's leading owner, developer and manager of Designer Outlets for some time and were asked to get involved with the wireless element of their new designer village development. This was some three months before go-live. After the site survey C24 and e-source completed the design, installation, test, configuration, trial and finally go-live ahead of schedule and to budget.
The solution which included the installation of over 37 access points 66 antennas all housed in weatherproof enclosures, with one central management rack and 8 remote racks. They were all linked by fibre terminating into Cisco core and edge switches. C24 and e-source support all wireless and WAN equipment that includes remote monitoring, managed alerts and break fix not only for the German site but also for the all sites across the 8 European locations.

New Premises for C24

Arthur Terry Managed Print win for C24
Arthur Terry School, Birmingham have announced that they have selected C24 in conjunction with DTP Group to introduce a managed print solution into the school.
Arthur Terry is one of the top 10 comprehensives in the country operating a state of the art IT infrastructure, but had an ageing fleet of copiers and printers and outdated charging and management systems for student print and copy. "It was an inefficient and complex mix of different machines and technologies and the costs involved in supporting and maintaining all these various printers were high," says Chris Butler, Technical Services Manager Arthur Terry School. "We needed to consolidate and come up with a system that would run to defined standards and meet the needs of everyone in the School”.
The Managed Print Service is expected to save the school around 20% on their print costs with the contract including support and automatic replenishment of consumables. This all inclusive service eliminates much of the administrative burden Arthur Terry School used to carry and reducing the fleet will also result in significant power savings.

We have invested heavily recently in our hosted infrastructure platform due to existing client demand and new clients coming on board. However one of the areas that we really need to look into was that of client back-up’s, which include office back-up’s, remote sites, individual phones and home workers.
After evaluation of all the major vendors in the marketplace C24 decided to integrate the Asigra product range into our hosted platform. Harper Adams University College win for C24........April 2011
C24 are pleased to announce that they have been selected to undertake systems integration work at Harper Adams University College. The solution, based around HP SAN and server technologies, is the latest in a series of wins for the Birmingham based company. Roger Greenhalgh, Head of IT at the University College, said that C24's knowledge of IT solutions and their approach to account management were important in the decision to contract the work to C24.

Strong Start to 2011
Even before the first ¼ 2011 has ended C24 has seen fantastic business growth with 8 new client wins, including 4 major application delivery hosting wins using the Microsoft software stack. The other 4 clients have been added to the systems integration side of the business, with wins for a University, a significant regional law firm and two major UK manufacturers.

C24 had some fantastic news yesterday, we have achieved HP Preferred Partner Status. As mentioned in earlier posts we have recently had a systems integration push which has proved extremely successful and has enabled us to get a number of accreditation. C24 reduce payroll application runtime from 10 hours to 2.5 hours 03.12.10
Fantastic results in the time it takes to run the payroll for one client. When we won the contract the runtime for the application was 10 hours, we have now taken this down to 2.5 hours.

C24 invests in a POD due to increased demand for it's hosting services 02.12.10
The application hosting business at C24 is gaining incredible momentum to such a level that we have had to increase our footprint within one of our chosen datacentres. The business has decided to put further investment into a full POD at the site, (the POD is basically our own dedicated area within the hosting centre that can only be accessed by the C24 technical team). This development is fantastic for C24 as we are seeing not only the hosting but the systems integration side of the business go from strength to strength. The increase in business has also seen us add three new heads within the business two on the helpdesk and one in the back office.
